About Advanced Market Volume Pro for Bookmap

Advanced MarketVolumePro is a real-time indicator developed to indicate market conditions based on real time market data and possible entries for profitable trading.

The idea behind is to find answers to following questions:

  • When does price stop or is about to stop?
  • Who is in charge of a price move?
  • When do buyers / sellers dominate?
  • How to identify algorithmic trading?
  • When do markets decelerate / accelerate?

Bid - Ask Imbalances

Bid-ask imbalances happen when there's a mismatch between the number of buyers and sellers for something you can trade, like stocks or futures. Imagine a seesaw where on one side you have all the people who want to buy (bids) and on the other side, all the people who want to sell (asks). When there are way more people on one side than the other, the seesaw is out of balance.

This often happens when there's big news that makes a lot of traders either want to buy or sell all at once. If everyone rushes to buy, the price might go up because there's a lot of demand; if everyone rushes to sell, the price might go down because there's more supply than demand.

This imbalance is like a tug of war between buyers and sellers:

  • If something is priced high, people usually don't want to buy as much of it – that's the law of demand.
  • On the flip side, if the price is high, those who are selling are happy to sell more – that's the law of supply.

These two rules work together to figure out the real price of things and how much of them gets sold or bought. When there's an imbalance, prices will shift until they reach a sweet spot where the number of buyers and sellers evens out – we call this equilibrium. Bookmap and MarketVolumePro can show these imbalances in real-time, helping traders make decisions.
