Step-By-Step Guide
In order to receive Telegram Alerts you’ll need a Telegram User ID as well as a Telegram Bot API Token that you can later enter into the corresponding fields below:
Telegram User ID and Telegram Bot API Token is needed to setup Telegram Messenger notifications
In the following steps, we will setup both Telegram User ID and Telegram Bot API Token.
Your Telegram User ID
- Open web.telegram.org in your browser
- Type “userinfobot” into the “Search” field
- Click on the entry called "userinfobot, @userinfobot, bot”. Make sure to select the correct one – some look very similar!
- Start the chat with userinfobot to receive your User ID

Step 2: Click the 'Start'-Button to start the conversation with 'userinfobot'
Step 3: The bot will tell you your Telegram User ID
Your Telegram Bot API Token
- Type “BotFather” into the “Search” field
- Click on the entry called "BotFather, @BotFather, bot”. Make sure to select the correct one – some look very similar!
- Start the chat with BotFather and create your new and personal Bot
- Enter a name and username for your new Bot
- You will receive the Telegram Bot API Token from BotFather
- Start chat with your new personal Bot

Step 1: Search for 'BotFather' and select the correct entry
Step 2: Click the 'Start'-Button to start the conversation with 'BotFather'
Step 3: Create a new Bot by navigating through the Bots menu or typting '/newbot'
Step 4: Follow the instructions of 'BotFather' and pick name and username for your new Bot. You will then receive your Telegram Bot API Token from 'BotFather'
Step 5: Search for your newly created Bot in Telegram Search
Step 6: Start the chat and your Bot is ready to receive messages from TTW indicators
Testing Telegram Alerts from TTW indicators
Once you have acquired the Telegram User Id and the Telegram Bot API Token you can enter them into the corresponding fields and click the “Send Test Message” button.
Enter your Telegram User ID and Telegram Bot API Token into settings window click 'Send Test Message'
If everything went well, you should now have received a test message from your Telegram Alerts bot
Deleting your Telegram bot
You can delete your Telegram Bot at any time using these steps:
- Type into the Telegram Search field “BotFather”
- Type into the BotFather chat: “/mybots” or navigate through the Bots menu
- Press “Delete Bot” and follow the procedure
